Product Details
The 450-0714 (4500714) is a cab operator monitor built as a direct replacement for Caterpillar C-series, D-series and D2-series hydraulic excavators from the 311D to the 390D, along with matching front shovel, material handler and mobile hydraulic power unit models.
On these excavators the operator monitor is the main window into the machine. It gathers data from the engine and machine controllers and shows it graphically: engine speed (RPM), fuel level and the other key operating parameters, together with warnings and service information. When it fails, the operator loses those readings and early warnings. Each unit is built to factory specifications from heat-resistant materials, programmed with the configuration for your machine serial number, then powered up on our bench to check the screen, backlight, keypad and controller communication before it is packed.

Installation note: Installation or removal by an experienced heavy-equipment technician is recommended. Turn the key off and open the battery disconnect switch before unplugging the monitor, and check the harness plug for bent pins, moisture or chafed wires before fitting the new unit.

Rule out the cheap causes first: Many blank-screen and communication complaints come from a blown fuse, weak batteries, a poor ground or a damaged harness between the cab and the controllers. Check voltage and ground at the monitor plug, and inspect the harness where it passes through the cab floor, before replacing the monitor.
