The 464-9981 (4649981) is a tractor cab display gauge — the operator monitor on the dash — built as a direct replacement for Caterpillar track-type tractors from the D3K2 up to the D8T, including XL and LGP versions.

Because one 464-9981 monitor serves models from the D3K2 to the D8T, it has to be set up for the exact tractor it goes into. We do that in our workshop before it leaves — it is not sent out blank. Installation note: Installation or removal by an experienced heavy-equipment technician is recommended. Park on level ground with the blade and ripper lowered, turn the key off and open the battery disconnect switch before unplugging the monitor.
