This EMCP 4.1 and 4.2 generator control panel is a new aftermarket replacement for reference numbers 351-8758-02, 351-8758, 450-9606, 503-4411 and 592-5153, fitted as a direct replacement across a notably wide power band — from C4.4 and C6.6 small sets up to C32, and including G3406 and G3516C gas sets.
What makes this reference group unusual is the spread. The same panel appears on a compact C4.4 standby unit and on a C32 or G3516C installation many times its output. The control functions are the same in each case — engine and AC parameter display, generator protection, alarm annunciation and start and stop control — but the configuration behind them is not, which is why matching the exact reference number and programming to your own set both matter more here than on a narrowly focused part.

Important: Programming Is Required Before Use
This panel is not plug-and-play. Every generator set carries its own configuration — engine family, alternator rating, voltage and frequency, CT ratios, protection thresholds and alarm setpoints — and the panel must be programmed to match your set by a qualified technician using approved service software before it will operate correctly. Given the power range this part covers, a panel configured for a C4.4 will not run a C32 correctly and vice versa.

Several closely numbered EMCP 4 references exist, and panels that look identical can carry different specifications. This reference group also spans both EMCP 4.1 and EMCP 4.2, which are not freely substitutable for one another, and neither is interchangeable with EMCP 4.2B, 4.3 or 4.4. Read the number printed on the label at the rear of your existing panel — including any suffix such as −02 — and order against that exact number. Common Failure Symptoms
Control panels usually degrade in stages rather than failing outright. These are the patterns reported most often across the small-set, gas and petroleum installations this panel covers.

Battery condition, charger output, panel fuse, ground integrity and corroded harness pins imitate panel failure far more often than the panel itself. On C4.4 and C6.6 units the battery is small enough that a modest loss of capacity drops the supply during cranking and makes a perfectly healthy panel look dead. Test under load before ordering a replacement.
