226-7475 (2267475) remanufactured engine control module — a direct-replacement ECM for Caterpillar 365C and 385C excavators, 627G / 637 wheel scrapers, the 586C site prep tractor and C7 / C9 industrial and petroleum engine builds.

Each core is stripped back to the bare board before rebuild. The case is opened, the PCB is washed and inspected under magnification, and the components responsible for most field failures — power-supply electrolytics, injector driver stages and fatigued solder joints around the connector headers — are replaced with new parts rather than simply cleaned. The board is re-coated, the housing is resealed with a fresh gasket, and the finished module is run on a bench harness and function-tested against factory-specified operating parameters before packing.

Removal and installation should be carried out by an experienced technician. Isolate the batteries at the master disconnect switch before unplugging anything, keep the connectors capped while the module is off the machine, and never crank or jump-start the engine with the ECM connectors only partially seated.

Common Failure Symptoms

These are the symptoms most often traced back to a failed engine control module on 365C / 385C excavators, 627G / 637 scrapers and C7 / C9 engine builds. A supply or wiring fault can produce an almost identical picture, so read the note under the table before replacing anything.
